Equipment management of boilers

Generally, it is used when there is a fault that cannot be determined, or when it is time for the boiler to be serviced; in such cases, the manufacturer’s instructions can be referred to. Generally, inspection work comes with relevant maintenance manuals, which the manufacturer should provide!

Inspect the heated surfaces and insulation layers for any damage, as well as safety accessories such as safety valves, thermometers, and level gauges; carry out maintenance on auxiliary equipment, remove dust accumulation, and perform maintenance and calibration of the air, coal, smoke, and steam systems; conduct relevant tests, etc.

In addition to the situations mentioned on the second floor, the boiler should also be shut down for inspection in the following cases: it should be shut down for inspection during regular inspections of the boiler (including external inspections, internal inspections, and pressure tests). External inspections are generally carried out once a year. External inspections should also be conducted in any of the following situations: before a boiler that has been relocated starts operating ； When a boiler is restarted after being out of service for over a year. Internal inspections are generally carried out every two years. Internal inspections should also be conducted in any of the following situations: before a boiler is put into operation after being relocated ； When a boiler is restarted after being out of service for over a year ； After major repairs or modifications to the compressed components, and one year after they are put back into operation ； When there are doubts regarding the safety and reliability of the boiler, based on the results of the previous internal inspections and the boiler’s operating conditions ； When there are doubts about the safety and reliability of the boiler based on external inspection results and boiler operation conditions. Hydraulic testing is generally carried out every six years; it should also be conducted in any of the following situations: before a boiler is relocated and put into operation ； After major repair or modification of the stressed components ； For boilers that cannot undergo internal inspection, it should be carried out once every three years. When internal inspection, external inspection, and hydrostatic testing are carried out simultaneously, the internal inspection, hydrostatic testing, and external inspection should be performed in sequence.

The boiler is equipped with two water level gauges; if one of them is damaged, it should be repaired immediately. If both are damaged at the same time, the boiler must be shut down right away, and operation can resume only once one of the water level gauges returns to normal function. For burners and feedwater pumps, monitoring should be carried out by observing, listening, and touching; any abnormalities detected must be addressed immediately, and if necessary, the plant should be shut down for maintenance – care must not be taken lightly.
