May I ask about the testing method for the alkaline nitrogen content in diesel? ? What’s the general approach? ?
SH/T 0162-1992 Method for the determination of basic nitrogen in petroleum products: The sample is dissolved in a mixture of benzene and glacial acetic acid. Using methyl violet or crystal violet as an indicator, a standard hydrochloric acid-glacial acetic acid titrant is used to titrate the basic nitrogen in the sample until the solution changes color from purple to blue. The content of basic nitrogen in the sample is calculated based on the concentration and volume of the perchloric acid-ice acetic acid standard titrant used.
