Is it that after determining the safe discharge volume of the container, the discharge capacity of the safety valve is calculated, and then the discharge area of the safety valve is determined based on its discharge capacity? And then, by dividing the container’s safe discharge volume by the corresponding coefficient, is that value compared with the discharge area of the safety valve? ? ? ? ?

Once the minimum cross-sectional area of the safety valve is determined, calculating the throat diameter of the valve seat will directly yield the required model of safety valve – so what’s the need for any comparison?
You can refer to the pressure vessel regulations, the relevant sections of GB150, and some chemical process design manuals also provide relevant calculations and examples.
First, determine the safe discharge capacity of the container; then determine the opening pressure and flow coefficient (also known as the discharge coefficient). These values vary depending on the type of safety valve – they can be provided by the safety valve manufacturer or assumed using standard values. After that, based on the principle that the discharge capacity of the safety valve must be no less than the container’s safe discharge capacity, the diameter of the safety valve can be calculated using the formulas provided in the relevant standards.
