Codes for traditional Japanese stainless steel grades

Thread Content

Older documents mention austenitic stainless steels such as SUS27 and SUS41, as well as ferritic steel SU24. However, when looking for newer grades for comparison, these codes are not found. Could experts please tell me what the most recent grades are?

SUS27 is 18Cr-8Ni, equivalent to 304; SUS41 is 22Cr-12Ni, equivalent to 309 ; SUS24 is 18Cr, equivalent to 430. Last edited by shawkay on 2009-3-16 11:01.]
