How to choose a shielded pump for liquefied petroleum gas use? Our company wants to replace the existing centrifugal pumps with shielded pumps. Do anyone have any suggestions? Please share them with us. Thank you
Depending on your flow rate, if it’s in the range of dozens of cubic feet per minute, there’s no need to use a canned motor pump – after all, they are quite expensive. You can opt for a vane pump; many LPG stations in China use vane pumps for pressurization. If you must choose a canned pump, the method of selecting one is similar to that for centrifugal pumps: determine the model based on flow rate and head, and then select a manufacturer.
The LNG shield pumps made by Dalian Empire are quite good; talk to the manufacturer and when signing the technical agreement don’t forget about the accessories: shaft sleeves, bearings, thrust discs, overload protection, undercurrent protection, and reverse circulation flow-limiting orifice plates
