Which manufacturer’s heat exchangers are these? Heat exchangers are used in many applications within the chlor-alkali industry! For example, they are used in primary brine streams, secondary brine streams, for alkali circulation heating, and in chlorine streams, among others! However, strict requirements are placed on their materials – rare metals such as titanium and nickel are required. Agree with the view from the 3rd floor; it indeed needs to be determined based on production capacity. Not all heat exchangers necessarily have to be plate-type; it’s fine to replace them with shell-and-tube types. Those who sell equipment should be familiar with design institutes. Generally, many devices are recommended by design institutes: lol

Brine treatment process: Brine heater – Ti, 30 sq ft; Electrolysis: Cathode solution cooler – Nickel, 55 sq ft; Finished alkali heat exchanger – 310S, 34 sq ft; Instrument cooling cooler – Ti, 0.3 sq ft; Sampling cooler – Ti, 0.3 sq ft; Sampling cooler – Ti, 0.3 sq ft. Chlorine treatment: Chlorine water cooler – Ti, 41 sq ft; Sulfuric acid cooler – Alloy C-276, 16 sq ft. There are also sampling coolers with a smaller area; the material used is stainless steel. The heat exchange area is determined after design selection based on the heat transfer amount provided by the design institute. As for the material, as the comrades mentioned above, different material properties require the use of different materials. But one thing is, the materials used in chlor-alkali chemical industry include acids, bases, chlorine, brine, vinyl chloride, steam, and so on
GEA and Alphate are used quite often
In our evaporation system, plate heat exchangers are used for sulfuric acid cooling, while shell-and-tube heat exchangers are used for brine
Plate heat exchangers for ion membrane electrolysis: Ni is used for the heat exchangers in the cathode system, while Ti is used for those in the anode system
