I would like to ask the experts here: how do you determine the thermal tightening temperature for starting up sulfur recovery units?
Heat and tighten it when the temperature is above 200 degrees.

200 degrees refers to the system temperature; due to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, the bolts will loosen at this temperature and need to be tightened again. Otherwise, after the system returns to normal operation, air and oil leakage will occur.
Our approach is to perform heat tightening twice: once when the temperature at each point reaches around 250°C. Second, the system is thermally tightened a second time once it reaches the operating temperature.

It seems that everyone follows a similar approach: for systems with an operating temperature above 250 degrees, thermal tightening is carried out in two stages – at 250 degrees and at the actual operating temperature. For systems with an operating temperature between 150 and 250 degrees, thermal tightening is performed once, when the system reaches its operating temperature. However, we haven’t found any specific evidence to support this!!!
Does that mean all thermal systems need to be thermally tightened? Is there any cold tightening? Do we need to do all these things when production starts?
