How are the water amounts for the mechanical seal and the packing cooling determined? When performing system water balance, how are the amounts of water for mechanical seal cooling and packing cooling determined? How much is it usually?
Is the poster asking about the amount of water used for external flushing of mechanical seals? Generally, the larger the mechanical seal and its rotational speed, the more water is required for flushing; the flow rate of water for external flushing of each mechanical seal is usually between 0.2 and 0.8 m3/h. I would appreciate some advice from experienced colleagues regarding the amount of water needed for flushing a packing seal.
