I would like to ask: what is the typical purity requirement for polymeric grade 1-butene in industrial production? How are the impurity components and their contents specifically restricted? Are there any friends familiar with LLDPE or full-density polyethylene plants who could provide some insight?
1 Butene – 1% by weight, 99.0 (minimum). 2 Other C4 components – % by volume, 1.0 (maximum). 3 Methylene dichloride and 1,3-butadiene – ppm by volume, 200 (maximum). 4 Methylacetylene – ppm by volume, 5 (maximum). 5 Oxygen – ppm by volume, 10 (maximum). 6 Sulfur – % by weight, 1 (maximum). 7 Carbon dioxide – ppm by volume, 5 (maximum). 8 Carbon monoxide – ppm by volume, 0.2 (maximum). 9 Water – % by weight, 5 (maximum). 10 MTBE – ppm by volume, 10 (maximum). The butene coming from the BG complex mainly contains butadiene in amounts that can exceed the specified limits
