How do I convert between kgEO/t and Kcal/kg? Thank you!
I’m not sure if this is correct; it’s provided for reference only. 1 kg of EO = 42 MJ. 1 J = 2.390057*10^(-4) kcal. 1 t = 1000 kg. **The standard specifies that a solid fuel with a lower heating value of 29.27 MJ (7000 kcal) is defined as 1 kilogram of standard coal (kgce). Since China’s energy structure is based on coal, it needs to be converted into standard coal. When calculating the total energy consumption, both primary energy, secondary energy, and energy-consuming working fluids should be converted into standard coal. The method for conversion is as follows: Standard coal quantity = Physical amount of energy (or energy-consuming medium) × Conversion factor. Conversion factor = Equivalent heat per unit of a certain type of energy (energy-consuming medium) / 29.27 MJ (heat release per kilogram of standard coal)
Because: 1 kilogram of standard oil = 10,000 kilocalories = 41,800 joules of energy. Therefore: 1 kg EO/t = 10 Kcal/kg
1 kilogram of standard oil = 10,000 kcal = 41,800 kJ. 1 kg EO/t = 10 Kcal/kg
