I’d like to ask everyone for help regarding a manufacturing process in our company; I’m not very familiar with it, and I hope you can help me check whether it’s correct
The top of the distillation tower is connected to a cooler, which in turn is connected to a tank. The fluid in this tank is pumped to the inlet at the top of the distillation tower. The bottom of the tower is connected to a reboiler. There are two additional liquid inlets in the middle section of the tower. However, during the first start-up, the entire tower is empty. Is it necessary to wait until the fluid reaches the bottom of the tower before it flows into the reboiler to be heated and turned into a gas phase, so that it can come into contact with the liquid flowing downward? Finally, the fluid exits through the outlet pipe at the bottom of the tower. The distillation tower is a floating valve tower

When operating the distillation tower, feeding is first carried out through the two liquid inlets located in the middle section of the tower, thereby filling the bottom of the tower with a certain amount of liquid. The reboiler is then used to heat this liquid, causing the light components within it to evaporate and turn into a gas phase. This gas phase then comes into contact with the liquid feed, further causing the light components in the liquid phase to evaporate. There may be one or several outlets for different products, allowing for the extraction of various finished products. The inlet at the top of the distillation tower serves as a reflux port, through which the liquid that has been cooled by a cooler or other extracted liquids return back.
