I would like to ask everyone: in the event of a sudden power outage in an industrial park, what methods are used to provide instrument air in order to ensure a smooth shutdown? The manager asked about diesel air compressors – has anyone used them before, and are they reliable?
We use a diesel emergency generator to power the instrument air compressor, which then supplies instrument air. It also provides emergency power for other important equipment.
The previous set of diesel generators with an appropriate power rating will suffice; together with a control program, they can be used for emergency purposes, starting up instantly to power your current air compressor.
I have used it in several PTA projects; the decision of whether to use a diesel generator with an electrically driven compressor or a diesel compressor directly depends on the process requirements. Generally, diesel compressors are quite expensive and are usually imported.
Based on my current inquiries, the price of the previous diesel air compressor is 40% lower than that of the previous diesel generator.
