Finding the right viscosity enhancer

When adding a viscosity enhancer to diethylene glycol, it is necessary that the viscosity of the solution remain stable and there be no turbidity. Acrylate-based substances did not work well in the past; therefore, new viscosity enhancers along with appropriate temperature controls for the processing are needed. Please offer some new suggestions – the cheaper the better. Currently, polyether-based substances are being considered. .
I’m not sure if carboxymethyl cellulose can be used.
Won’t sodium polyacrylate work either? What about using polyacrylamide?
Deacetylated chitin (chitosan) can be tried
I have previously used CMC and PAM (Aisen), and there was a common phenomenon: flocculation occurred whenever the temperature returned to room temperature. I tried adding some surfactants, but the result was not satisfactory. Now I am experimenting with special coupling agents
Do special coupling agents have a thickening effect? I am also looking for similar products. I was wondering if the person above could provide a few models along with their descriptions
