Polytetrafluoroethylene-coated gaskets come in three types – how to choose?

In HG20607-97 \"Polytetrafluoroethylene-lined gaskets for steel pipe flanges\", the types of gaskets are classified according to their manufacturing method into machined fin-type, machined rectangular-type, and folded-type, denoted as PMF type, PMS type, and PFT type respectively. The gaskets of the first two types have the same dimensions for different pipe diameters, while the folded-type is used for larger diameters; however, for the same diameter category, the gasket dimensions remain identical. Therefore, I would like to ask: 1. In what applications are each of these three types of gaskets used? 2. Which one is the most commonly used?

The most commonly used type here is the foldable package. I’m not sure about anything else.
PMF is one of the most widely used and cost-effective gaskets. The PMS type is suitable for producing gaskets with large diameters and for use with toxic chemicals, while the PFT type is suitable for gaskets with thicker inner layers and for use with abrasive fluids
PMF format is used quite often; I haven’t investigated which one is better in production
