There is no certification for instrument engineers, but there is a qualification certification for measurement control and instrumentation engineers. Eligibility criteria: The certification is available for professional technicians working in industries such as industrial automation instruments and control systems, scientific instruments, electronic and electrical measurement instruments, medical devices, various specialized instruments, sensors and components for instruments, as well as functional materials, and who are involved in tasks such as design, research, manufacturing, application, maintenance, management, and marketing. To apply for engineer certification: those with an associate degree must have at least 5 years of work experience, while those with a bachelor’s degree must have at least 4 years of work experience ； A master’s degree requires at least 2 years of work experience ； A doctoral degree does not require work experience ； To apply for the senior engineer certification: those with a doctoral degree must have worked as an engineer for at least 2 years ； For other educational backgrounds, one must have worked as an engineer for more than 5 years. The work experience mentioned above refers to work involving specialized technical skills in the fields of measurement control and instrumentation, or related industries. For those with outstanding performance and contributions, the requirements regarding education background and work experience can be appropriately relaxed.
