Who can explain the characteristics of duplex stainless steel and the σ-phase? I’m encountering this issue in the manufacturing of stainless steel containers; could you recommend any relevant charts or documents!
Duplex stainless steel: refers to stainless steels that possess both austenitic and ferritic microstructures, with these two phases existing independently and in relatively large amounts; it is generally considered that the minimum content of each phase should be greater than 15%.
