Operation issues in coking wastewater treatment

Currently, the sedimentation rate of SV30 in wastewater treatment is very fast, and the activated sludge turns black. Suspecting sludge aging, what other effective methods are there besides increasing sludge discharge and adding dilution water?
By adjusting the water volume, the residence time can be controlled; it’s also possible to increase the aerobic dissolved oxygen level – I’m not sure if that will work. I’m a beginner too :D
Is the sludge still active? ? ? If so, it is due to insufficient oxygen supply; aeration for a few days can be used to alter the properties of the sludge.
