Yitai produces coal-to-oil using the indirect method! Shenhua is directly liquefied! The production methods of the two are very different!
You’re really too uninformed. The refinery at Shenhua Ordos, with a production capacity of 1.5 million tons of refined oil per year, began producing oil on December 31, 2008. The entire production process was operational, and qualified diesel was manufactured using direct coal liquefaction technology – a technique that was pioneered worldwide and for which independent intellectual property rights were held. We have been working non-stop for over 240 hours in a row; we have been fighting here for more than a year, and we are all witnesses to this moment. If you don’t believe it, watch the news broadcast on China Central Television in mid-January – I can’t remember exactly which day it was.
Itai is the indirect method, without going through methanol. 16wt/a is a process package designed by Sinochem Synthetic Oil Company.
Personally, I hope that Sinochem’s synthetic oil technology will be successful, but my opinion on Yitai’s engineering design and construction is rather average

Two of the three indirect liquefaction demonstration projects of Zhongke Synthetic Oil Company have been successful. Congratulations! I don’t know when Shenhua’s project will be able to go into trial operation. Looking forward to it. However, Shenhua might be focusing its main efforts on direct liquefaction and not have the time to deal with indirect liquefaction?
