I designed a heat exchanger using a U-tube. There are two lifting ring screws at the top, bottom, entry, and exit of the tube bundle; some people say it’s impossible to pull it. Is there anyone who can verify it? Please tell me some information about me. Thank you
In my opinion, the ring head must be able to bear at least the weight of the U-shaped tube bundle, which is also a requirement for its fabrication and installation. As for exactly how much force can be applied to pull it out during maintenance of the tube bundle, that’s hard to determine; my approach is to follow the design specifications.
Aren’t there slides as well? The suspension screw is only used to pull it out; other suspension points will be added before the heat exchange tube bundle is completely extracted.
You can simply use the lifting lugs as a reference for strength verification. To perform such verification, you can download specialized software for creating your own tools or for secondary development from the relevant sections
