Hello everyone. I work in a vacuum distillation unit, but in my free time I want to learn about heavy oil catalytic units and hydrogenation units. I’m not sure where to start, so I would appreciate some guidance. Do any of you have any good resources to recommend? The more detailed, the better. Thank you!
Process and Engineering – Information available for any type of plant; it’s very detailed. It takes some time to go through, but once you master it, you can become a professional in this field

It is not easy to master atmospheric and vacuum distillation well, but doing so is helpful for learning about other types of units. If you want to learn, you can borrow a book on petroleum refining; it covers quite a lot of topics.
It is recommended that the original poster learn how to search first, as there are numerous resources available on Haichuan. Then actively post or directly donate to obtain the eligibility, and download relevant materials from the material sharing section.
Hydrogenation unit: 1. Hydrogenation processing technology and engineering. 2. Technical Q&A on hydrocracking units. 3. Technical Q&A on hydrogenation refining units. 4. Hydrocracking processes and engineering. 5. Hydrocracking operation guidelines. It’s available on the forum; you can find it by searching. It is recommended to start by looking at the technical Q&A.
