Is it the mechanic or the electrician who is responsible for the oil circuit system of the press? Do we call it electrician repair at our factory? The electrician said it should be done by a mechanic – whose responsibility is it in the end?
It should have been fixed by a mechanic, but it’s also good to know some electrical skills or mechanics.
In our company, it’s organized this way: the electrical aspects of the hydraulic system are handled by electricians, while the oil circuits are under the responsibility of machine mechanics. Different fields can seem like entirely separate worlds. Of course, to diagnose faults quickly, it’s still useful for both those who perform repairs and those who oversee them to have some basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical principles.
We are the same; it’s just that the control of the hydraulic system is handled by the instrumentation department, while the hydraulic cylinders and pipelines fall under the responsibility of the mechanical department.
The proper division of work should be handled by mechanics, but it is also related to the unit’s work schedule.

Mechanics carry out repairs in a reasonable manner; however, today’s enterprises emphasize the integration of different specialties as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks. It is best for those with skills in both mechanics and electronics to take on repair tasks.
In principle, it should be done by the maintenance staff; it’s best to do it together with electrical technicians, as this helps to identify the cause of the fault more effectively.
