I have installed a water-cooled cooler at the primary outlet of a reciprocating compressor; under normal operation, the return temperature of the circulating water is 30 degrees, but in recent days it has risen to 51 degrees. It turns out that the temperature after the first stage of cooling is around 35-40 degrees, which is quite normal; the exhaust temperature after the first stage is also similar to the original value. Based on the return temperature of the circulating water and the temperature after the first stage of cooling, it is possible to determine whether severe scaling in the water cooler is causing a shortage in the amount of circulating water, which in turn leads to poor cooling performance
Has the primary air inlet temperature increased? Or is there a fault with the cooling water valve?
If the return water temperature rises suddenly, it cannot be due to scaling, as scaling only causes a gradual increase in temperature. It could be due to the following reasons: 1. The exhaust temperature remains roughly the same, and the exhaust volume may have increased ; 2 Decrease in circulating water volume ; 3 As the weather gets hotter, the inlet temperature of the circulating water rises.
The reasons are as follows: 1. Seasonal changes lead to an increase in environmental temperature, with significant fluctuations; 2 The exhaust temperature of the cylinder section itself increases significantly ; 3 Increase in ambient temperature leads to an increase in the temperature of the water circulating in the system ; 4. The inlet valve or return valve for the cooling water circulation in Section 1 is not fully opened ;
