Luchi’s MTP technology was put into use in large-scale industrial production projects without going through any industrial-scale testing first. The construction of the project carried out by Datang did not proceed smoothly; Datang plans to build another set of facilities in Yulin, and it is currently assessing the performance of the first set. It is recommended to consider taking over the operation only after the Datang project is completed and operating stably. Currently, Tsinghua University in China, together with the China National Chemical Engineering Corporation, is carrying out industrial trials of Tsinghua’s MTP technology in Huainan; meanwhile, the technology developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics is also under development
