The content of anionic detergents was determined by methylene blue spectrophotometry; a standard curve for this method was prepared, and the recovery rate and experimental precision of anionic detergents were discussed. The results show that the method of extracting and washing anionic detergents using methylene blue spectrophotometry is simple, and yields accurate and rapid results.
There are industry standards. The general procedure is as follows: Fill a separatory funnel with a detergent solution of a certain concentration. At a specific temperature, open the valve from a certain height and pour the solution into a graduated cylinder that already contains a detergent solution of the same temperature and concentration. Then measure the height of the foam in the cylinder after the pouring.
What was mentioned on the 4th floor works well. It is generally referred to as foam properties; this involves using a measuring cylinder, a compressor, and a spherical disperser (which is used to direct the airflow in various directions). A certain volume of detergent is then taken, and by controlling different airflow speeds, foams of varying volumes can be produced, thereby allowing an assessment of the foam properties.
