For a sulfur-to-sulfuric acid production capacity of 120kt/a, how many fiber mist eliminators are required in each of the primary and secondary absorption towers? The fiber mist eliminators produced by that domestic manufacturer are of good quality; what’s the price? Please introduce yourselves! ! ! ! ! !
The performance and size of mist eliminators produced by different manufacturers vary, so the number of such devices will also differ; design firms or manufacturers should be able to assist you in selecting the appropriate one.
It’s not that we’re overly fond of foreign things; imported products are simply better.
For a single-suction demister, since it operates with two rotations and two suction cycles, it is used to handle the acid mist in the single-suction tower. To protect the catalyst and heat exchangers, it is advisable to install several additional demisting elements, usually 14 in total. If exhaust gas treatment is available for the second stage of absorption, fewer units can be used; generally 4–6 units are sufficient, and the required filtering area is much smaller.
In the “2+2” process, the component configuration for the first suction and the second suction is different from that in the “3+1” process.
If conditions permit, a candle-type demister can be used. In our factory, it has shown good mist-removal performance, and its maintenance costs are much lower than those of a mesh demister. With this type of demister, virtually no maintenance is required, aside from checking and cleaning the residual acid in the acid tank. The downside is that the initial investment is relatively high, and the resistance is also greater
