I was working with my supervisor yesterday, and I saw this while filling a compressor with oil: the oil transfer pump is a three-phase asynchronous motor, with a power rating of 0.75KW and operating at 380V; it has four wiring terminals. At first, the motor rotated in the wrong direction, but by swapping two of the wires, the issue was resolved. So, does this mean that two wires need to be swapped?
The motor reversing is due to incorrect phases; adjusting any 2 wires will do~~
Any two of the three phase wires; the fourth one is grounded and cannot be moved. Since changing the motor’s forward phase sequence to the reverse one only requires a single phase reversal, it is sufficient to swap any two phases.
This is common sense. I don’t remember either whether it was mentioned in the book or not; anyway, that’s what they do on site – it’s common sense~!~!:lol
This problem is very common. Just swap any 2 of the 3 phases with each other.
The correct approach is to adjust AB or BC; adjusting AC should result in the same steering behavior as before
Generally, it’s sufficient to adjust any two of the three phases; this essentially changes the rotating magnetic field of the motor. This is common knowledge, but one still needs to pay close attention to it
When the motor is wired in the normal ABC phase sequence, it will rotate in the forward direction
