This figure is 0.04 kilograms of standard oil per ton-factor lower than the group company’s average of 9.88 kilograms of standard oil per ton-factor. Since it began its efforts to reduce various parameters by 15%, Daqing Petrochemical has always treated energy-saving improvements in its refining system as a key long-term task, focusing heavily on adjustments, optimizations, upgrades, and cost reductions. At the beginning of this year, the refinery began to implement comprehensive measures to save energy, conserve water, and reduce emissions. It focused on enhancing meticulous management among all employees, breaking down targets at various levels, and urging everyone to develop a sense of conservation. The emphasis was placed on making progress through small steps and starting from the basics, with a firm commitment to eliminating any form of energy waste ; Focus on strengthening the operation management of individual units, compare them with industry benchmarks at appropriate times, and make optimized adjustments or carry out targeted efforts to address inefficient energy use ; Special emphasis is placed on strengthening the management of key processes; detailed oversight is applied to energy-intensive areas such as steam tracing, operation of heating furnaces, operation of boilers in power stations, and tank tracing, with continuous optimization efforts. In this process, the crude oil in tanks No. 3, 4, and 5 of the North Oil Depot was transferred to the plant’s tank area, and the bypass heaters as well as the tank heaters were shut down, thereby achieving significant savings in steam consumption. In February, with low processing loads at the refineries, energy consumption for 15 out of the 22 units across the plant decreased compared to the previous year. The total energy consumption of the entire plant decreased by 2,400 tons of standard coal on a year-on-year basis, while the total water consumption dropped by 118,300 tons. The amount of wastewater generated also decreased by 33,100 tons compared to the previous year ; The comprehensive energy consumption was 73.01 kilograms of standard oil per ton, a decrease of 5.05 kilograms of standard oil per ton compared to the previous year; the water consumption per ton of product was 0.82 tons, a reduction of 0.08 tons on a year-on-year basis. The indicators for energy and water consumption in oil refining have reached new historical lows.
