A process for producing ethyl acetate is disclosed, which involves an additional step to remove a substantial amount of water from the condensed reaction stream, and to recycle portions of this dried stream back into the production process. As a supplementary note, the \"dried stream\" refers to a liquid; it is the organic layer on top after the water phase has been separated, which is rich in ethyl acetate. After reading the original poster’s additional explanation, how about changing “dry materials” to “dehydrated materials”? Because earlier it was mentioned that a substantial amount of water needs to be removed --- FYI, this post was last edited by echommm on 2009-3-18 at 11:40 ]
Dry materials and dehydrated materials mean more or less the same thing; you can choose whichever one you think is more appropriate, but personally I think \"dehydrated\" is a better term
As mentioned earlier regarding removing water from..., it would be appropriate to translate \"dried stream\" as the material after dehydration treatment!

Thank you all~ Actually, everyone’s translations are quite good~ But personally, I think using “dried stream” to refer to this two-phase system of ester and water is a bit odd (maybe it’s just because it’s not commonly used). I plan to adopt dongping001’s translation of “the material after water removal”. (By the way, “condensed” should be translated as “condensed”; there’s no need for the term “concentrated” here.) Condensed reaction – it seems to refer to a condensation reaction; so it’s probably the water produced by that condensation reaction. Esters must be formed through a condensation reaction between acids and alcohols, I’m not familiar with this process; it’s just a guess.
I’m not sure; I’ve seen people use the term “Condensation Reaction” for such reactions, but I’m not certain whether “condensed reaction” is an acceptable term as well. If a condensation reaction is used, isn’t it simpler to just use an esterification reaction?
