I’m reading a tender document that specifies that the interior of the cylinder should have a cladding layer, but not a strip lining. What is strip lining? Additionally, I searched on Google for a long time but was unable to find out what the difference between strip cladding and strip lining is. There are also the following words that confuse me: What does “internally bonded clad plates” mean? Are there composite panels that can be bonded from the outside? "Welding in conjunction with a clad lining shall be done with covered electrodes in accordance with ASME Section II, Part C and the following electrode specifications: ...... What does \"clad lining\" mean here? The term “Alloy Lining” is a general term that does not imply a specific fabrication or manufacturing process. Alloy lining for shells and heads shall be integrally bonded callding or weld deposit overlay. What does \"sleeve liner\" mean?
Strip lining: weld rod surfacing lining; manual welding. Strip cladding: strip-based surfacing, automated welding. Internally bonded clad: not sure what this means. Sleeve liner: sleeve
\"Strip\" refers to solder tape; one method of welding is automatic welding, and since the solder strip is in strip form, it is called \"strip\". \"Cladding\" means composite material, while \"lining\" refers to a lining layer. There is no difference between the two in this context. \"Integrally bonded cladding\" denotes a fully composite structure, with no sections that are joined together.
