To ensure the straight pipe section, for accurate measurement, the first 10 and the last 5 are generally selected instead of the required first 20 and the last 5.
In other words, why is the measurement more accurate after installation like this?
It is to ensure that the fluid state is relatively stable. A certain straight pipe section can make the fluid in a relatively laminar flow state, instead of the general turbulent flow state measurement that requires measurement in the laminar flow state.
The distance between the straight pipe section in the front cannot be less than 20 times the pipe diameter to avoid the pressure difference caused by the vortex generated by the fluid inside when passing through the elbow due to the elbow being too close, which will affect the measurement of the flow meter. The flow meter needs to be in a stable fluid state to be accurate. The same principle applies to the straight pipe section required at the rear. The pressure difference generated by the elbow will also affect the pressure measurement on the negative pressure side.
