The National Annual Conference on Fertilizer and Methanol Technology is approaching

The 18th National Technical Conference on Fertilizers, Methanol and Their Downstream Products, as well as the Meeting of the National Committee for the Technical Development of Fertilizers and Methanol, organized by the National Fertilizer Industry Information Center, will be held in Luoyang from March 28 to 31. The conference will focus on discussions and exchanges regarding the analysis of the situation and countermeasures for fertilizers and methanol, energy-saving technological upgrades and emission-reduction technologies for fertilizers and methanol, industrialization technologies for downstream products of methanol, the promotion and application of high-proportion methanol in gasoline production, as well as various challenging issues in the production of chemical products such as fertilizers and methanol. Affected by the global financial crisis, China’s fertilizer and methanol industries have suffered severe impacts since the second half of 2008. To this end, the conference organizers will invite a group of experienced experts in nitrogen fertilizers and methanol to attend and assess the situation in the industry. The aim is to help enterprises understand the current situation, boost their confidence, reduce production costs, enhance their competitiveness, carry out adjustments to their product portfolios, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the entire industry. According to the conference organizers, the organizing committee has already received over 100 papers and will compile them into a collection. The article covers two aspects: first, the impact of the international financial crisis on the fertilizer and methanol markets, as well as the countermeasures taken ； The second category includes related technologies, such as innovative processes for methanol production, patented technologies for high-proportion methanol gasoline, low-pressure combined methanol production, multi-nozzle opposed gasification, Shell gasification, advanced purification of methanol synthesis gas, desulfurization of methanol synthesis gas, energy-saving measures for coal chemical plants, and the production of dimethyl ether and other downstream products derived from methanol. This conference will also invite officials from relevant departments, as well as experts from research and design institutions, colleges and universities, and manufacturing companies. The advantage of such meetings is that it’s possible to meet more people. There are many companies that try to sell their products, but there are too few experts. They should visit more methanol production facilities in order to understand the causes of accidents that occur there, and to produce more high-quality research papers. It’s very difficult to find books on methanol production in the market; and when such books do exist, their content is often outdated. Ah! ! !
The purpose of holding such meetings is for everyone to get together and strengthen their relationships. There aren’t many new technologies proposed for the company’s technology and energy-saving efforts. Over time, the meetings have become more focused on business aspects and less on academic considerations
