What is the difference between Siemens PLC S7-400 and PCS7?

In the past, we used PLCS7300 and 400, and now DCS of PCS7 has appeared. I don’t know what the difference is in hardware and software.
PLCS7300 and 400 are PLC hardware, PCS7 is DCS
Only CPUs above 414-3 can be used as PCS7 AS stations. There is no big difference in hardware between S7 and PCS7 at the lower level and above. The biggest difference lies in the configuration method. PCS7 mainly uses CFC and SFC and has a large number of industry libraries.
PCS7 seems to be a DCS control, while S7 is a PLC, which means that S7 has advantages for switch control, while PCS7 is for analog control.
The PCS7 software includes wincc and step, which integrates the upper and lower bits. It also has common programming languages CFC and SFC, as well as batch hardware. The 300 400 modules and CPU are still used.
PCS7 software includes STEP7+WINCC+PDM, etc., and the corresponding hardware: CPU requirement is 414 or above. The s7-400 series includes CPU and various modules, which are just hardware.
The hardware platform is the same, and the software platform is basically the same. PCS7 just developed some new functions based on WINCC+STEP7
PCS is Siemens' DCS. I feel that there is not much difference between Siemens DCS and PLC. It is mainly in the hardware.
