I think you should look into this issue; at this temperature, the solubility of acidic gases in the solution is high, while the solubility of nitrogen is low. I find your description of the problem unclear. I assume you are referring to low-temperature methanol washing, where nitrogen is stripped from the methanol along with the acidic gases. At such a temperature, the solubility of nitrogen is particularly low
