The difference between stripping and gas stripping

I came across these two terms recently, and after looking up information on them, I feel that the difference between them isn’t very clear. I hope those who have knowledge on this topic can kindly provide some guidance
Blow-off and air stripping methods are used to remove dissolved gases and certain volatile substances from water. Gas (carrier gas) is introduced into water to ensure thorough contact between them, allowing the gases and volatile substances dissolved in the water to pass through the gas-liquid interface and transfer into the gas phase, thereby achieving the removal of pollutants. Air or water vapor is commonly used as the carrier gas; the former is referred to as stripping, while the latter is called gas lift.
The one with the three dots should refer to steam, right?
