I installed Aspen One 2006, and before I could figure things out, V7 appeared suddenly – it’s really bothering me: I’m not sure whether I should switch to V7 or not... Logically, as someone who likes new things and gets tired of the old ones, I should definitely uninstall 2006 and switch to V7. But after reading the discussions others have had, I have some concerns, so I’m here to ask for advice: 1. V7 is downloaded in several parts, and some people say it must be installed by merging those parts on an NTFS partition. Is this true? Because my operating system is XP, and all partitions are FAT32... 2. Does v7 have to be used on a Vista system? If it is installed on an XP system, will some functions not be available? 3. Is it necessary to uninstall Office 2007 (pirated) before installing v7?

Only NTFS partition formats support files larger than 4G; FAT32 does not support such large files. 2. Is v7 necessarily required to be used on a Vista system? If it is installed on an XP system, will some functions not be available? Answer: Feel free to install it on XP; there will definitely be fewer problems with it on XP compared to Vista. 3. Is it necessary to uninstall Office 2007 (pirated) before installing V7? Answer: When I installed it, Office 2003 was installed on the machine; I completed the installation process without any issues. Some people reported problems during the Office installation, and that was because certain functions in Office were required, but those functions hadn’t been installed yet.
I’m still using version 06; I need to learn the new one to prepare for the future!

There’s nothing wrong with changing the partition format; it allows the space occupied by existing files to be reduced, and it also supports large files larger than 4G. What’s there to object to? Heheh, just one DOS command is enough
When I tried to install v7, errors kept appearing; a dialog box stated that a .cab file named CD1 could not be found. This problem persisted whether Office was uninstalled or not, but it didn’t occur when installing on another machine.
I just upgraded to V7 and encountered a very strange problem. In the economic evaluation folder of the installer, there is a file named ASE0202-1.cab, and it’s not possible to perform any operations on it – neither moving nor deleting it is possible. The drive is formatted as NTFS, and I tried many methods found online, but none worked. Eventually, I used 360 Safe to delete that file; I also tried copying it from another computer using a USB drive, but it wouldn’t be accepted either. It won’t fit onto FAT32 partitions either. I’m not sure what’s going on, nor do I know if this will affect the installation
The sp2 system doesn’t seem to work; SQL 2005 cannot be installed, and Aspen’s databases cannot be used
I’m using XP-SP2. No errors occurred after the installation. It just takes up too much space on the system drive. Later, there was no way to give it to Ge. It’s a reinstalled system; I got one with Windows 2004 from the internet. It’s only 100+M.
