Yitai coal-to-oil process has produced oil! The indirect coal-to-oil conversion process at Yitai in Inner Mongolia began producing oil at around 4 a.m. on the 17th! Gasification uses Texaco technology, the process package from the Northwest Chemical Research Institute, and a new coal-to-oil process developed by China Science Synthetical Oil; the quality of the oil products remains to be determined through testing.
