Our unit currently has a pneumatic diaphragm pump, which has developed a fault in recent days. The main issue is that the pump doesn’t operate with sufficient power; it clearly lacks the strength it used to have, and its vibration level is also much lower than before. I checked the compressed air inlet pipeline; the pressure is normal and the filter is not clogged. The suction height of the pump doesn’t even reach 2 meters. I think it’s still the issue of reduced power. But it’s still not entirely clear exactly where to start first. I would like to ask everyone: is it the air distribution valve that is damaged or the diaphragm? That possibility is greater – does the pump need to be completely disassembled for repair?
The issue with air distribution valves lies in wear or damaged seals, which result in excessive gaps; this allows gas to leak back, leading to insufficient power. Our factory has encountered similar problems, and replacing the relevant components can resolve the issue.

An insufficient suction height of the pump indicates poor sealing between the valve ball and the valve seat; check whether there are any impurities blocking that area. To determine if the low flow rate is due to aging of the pump, it is necessary to first examine external factors such as air pressure, air volume, the inlet and outlet ports, as well as the valves; after that, assess issues related to the pump itself, such as the lubrication of the air valves and whether the seals in the air system have aged.
