Gas: about 15 m/s, Liquid: about 1.5 m/s
It’s not the case upstairs. 15 meters per second is too high for gases that are explosive; for example, with CO, I used a flow rate of 8 meters per second in my previous project.
It should be determined based on the actual properties of the medium. The flow rate of hot oil-based media should be around 3 M/S; too low a rate can lead to coking.

The flow rate of the medium inside a pipeline needs to be determined by taking into account comprehensive factors such as temperature, pressure, and the properties of the medium. Of course, if you work on a particular task for a long time, you will be able to develop an empirical value for the flow rate.
The process manual provides empirical values for the velocity of liquids or gases at different pressures and viscosities, which can be selected using the trial-and-error method.
