I signed on with a small design firm; I only found out yesterday that there are no weekends – I only get one day off per week. It’s frustrating
Hehe, design institutes usually require people to work overtime every day; but the more work one does, the more they should earn.
If you’re single, if you’re still young, if you love design work, if… what’s wrong with working six days a week and occasionally working late at night?
When looking for a job at that time, I wanted to avoid working in factories, especially chemical plants. First, those jobs require shift work, and I’m not suited for that type of work. Second, the products manufactured in such factories are usually quite limited, which means that career prospects there are also limited. Third, the air quality in chemical plants is somewhat poor. So, I only considered companies like design institutes. Well, thinking about it now, it doesn’t matter; it’s the same everywhere – every place has its advantages and disadvantages. Many things aren’t as good as one might imagine, because by nature people tend to think of only the good things. It’s only after spending some time getting to know something that one realizes there’s nothing perfect; they’re all the same. Stay calm; that’s all that matters

Congratulations to LZ! If you work at a design institute, do newcomers have to work overtime too? It’s considered a learning phase, so the work pressure shouldn’t be very high, right? . . Keep a positive attitude; I need to keep pushing myself too! !
You haven’t gotten enough rest. In design firms, the amount of money you earn is closely related to the amount of work you do; the less rest you take, the more money you can earn :hug:

We have weekends, but we often have to work overtime. The project is coming to an end these days, so it’s busy; I’ve been working overtime for almost a month now, with only one day off from time to time
Congratulations to the original poster for finding a great job. As far as I know, design institutes across the country are working overtime. Everyone is busy producing artwork, as income is proportional to the thickness of the albums produced. Hehe
If you work in a design firm, you need to be prepared for overtime. Sometimes there’s little work to do, which is a good time to learn or recharge, while at other times it’s very busy. In the past two days, I only got 6 hours of sleep in total (over those two days)
You get what you give. The wealth accumulated in youth will gradually show its value in later life.
It should be two days; with so much work, there might be overtime every day.
