Does anyone know whether octagonal gaskets and elliptical gaskets in RJ ring gaskets can be used interchangeably?
If they are trapezoidal groove flanges, they should be interchangeable, and good sealing performance can still be ensured

Thank you so much! I asked the design institute, and they said it can also be used interchangeably. One more simple question: how can we determine whether an old gasket can be reused? Is it completely impossible to replace it directly, or can it be polished with sandpaper, checked for proper contact, and then used again? Is there any difference between octagonal pads and elliptical pads in terms of reusability?
