Air pressure variation issue

I would like to ask the experts here: if two air pipes with different diameters are connected and air is blown in using a blower, can a disc valve be used when the air moves from the pipe with the larger diameter to the one with the smaller diameter in order to significantly increase the air pressure? And to what extent will the air flow be affected?
Personally, I don’t think the pressure will increase
