When I was on site before, I could perform hot bending in this way. However, there are prerequisites: the pipeline pressure must not exceed 0.5 MPa, the medium temperature must not be higher than 100 degrees, the pipeline diameter must not be larger than DN32, and it must be a pipeline for non-highly corrosive media. And before, we would perform heat bending followed by heat treatment for insulation. (That is, after thermal bending, the temperature is gradually reduced using insulating materials or sand.)
For 304 material, a temperature of over 1200 should generally not be exceeded; there shouldn’t be any problems with that. Heat bending is likely to present difficulties. As mentioned above, the quality of the medium used is average, and it can be tried as long as the pressure isn’t high. There’s no issue with water pipes, but alkaline pipes are not recommended.

For 304 stainless steel pipes with small diameters, cold bending is the preferred method; hot bending is also an option, provided that the temperature does not exceed the crystal transformation temperature. It is advisable to use a bending radius of ≥… Using a mandrel during cold bending yields better processing quality; if no mandrel is available, hot bending is a better choice!
