Thoughts on 2009. . . . . .

Today I saw a video online that told the story of a young and beautiful female teacher who persevered in teaching at a beautiful but poor rural school. It was a dilapidated school building without heating in winter and without air conditioning fans in summer; there were no offices either. There was only this one female teacher, and it was she who did things that we ordinary people could not do. Perhaps many people would just laugh at it or sigh. In today’s economy, where technology and culture are so advanced, what can we ordinary people do? After the Olympics, before the Chinese people could recover from the celebrations of those victories, a global financial crisis* triggered by the U.S. subprime mortgage crisis hit. Factories went bankrupt, companies laid off employees and cut salaries, and many people lost their jobs. There are over 5 million college graduates ready to enter the job market, along with more than 20 million farmers without work. The difficulties we face today are unprecedented. Besides doing our own things well, should we do something more beneficial? . . Should we change our previously established mindsets in order to adapt to or overcome the current difficulties, rather than engaging in pointless complaints? In fact, there is much we can do; at least around us there are many people who need our care and assistance. The key lies in whether or not we put effort into treating those around us with sincerity. As the ancients said: Cultivate oneself, manage one’s family, govern the state, and bring peace to the world~~~
Let’s start with ourselves. If everyone can treat others kindly and not act out of a desire for profit, I think everything will be fine. But if people fail to treat others well, if they look at one another with hostility and harbor hatred, then I believe that even if China’s economy becomes highly developed, we will still live in a world filled with coldness and hostility
If everyone could understand this, the world would be perfect. Regardless of what others do, one should first take care of their own affairs. Those who are successful can help others, while those who are poor should focus on improving themselves
We, 90% of the employees: 1. Earn what we deserve, 2. Do what our managers assign, 3. Think about how to keep our families united, 4. Sleep soundly and live a peaceful life. Then there are those 2% who worry about other people’s affairs, and those 8% who are in prison. This is society; otherwise, what would inspiration mean? Are the ratios different?
In my opinion, everyone can be moved by this female teacher, but what happens after that? The vast majority of people are just as they always have been; there’s basically no change.
In fact, all our actions are not meant solely for ourselves. If it were just us alone, without caring about relatives, friends, or anyone else, then perhaps everyone could live a carefree life. We think this female teacher is very noble, but her relatives might think she’s silly and oppose such actions. So, it’s the difference between the greater self and the lesser self, I guess. Most of us should place more emphasis on the ego. . .
We should take proactive steps to change the present.
Given China’s current special national conditions, doing one’s own job well constitutes a contribution to **; after all, people in China face considerable pressure in life – fierce competition and high housing prices are part of everyday reality.
Change yourself, and only then can you change others.
Emotion is merely a fleeting impulse; once faced with reality, one’s humble nature takes control again.
Different starting points for viewing a problem lead to different results. The original poster doesn’t want people to complain; and even if they do, what’s the use? A broken pot can never become a good one, right? To borrow the words from Floor 10: “Change yourself, so that you can change others.” ”
In fact, what the original poster mentioned does still exist in current actual production. People these days are selfish; maybe they will gain some insight when their conscience speaks to them ； Once things calm down, I guess not many people will have those feelings. Everything is = for oneself
Difficulties are temporary; we should face them head-on rather than becoming discouraged. Believe that tomorrow will be better! ! ! !
Five years have passed, and there are so many thoughts! Time flies by
