For the design of the gas seal for storage tanks – 6 tanks with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters each and 6 tanks with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters each – the required amount of gas for the seal is 3200 standard cubic meters per hour. Is that not too much? My understanding is that the gas volume specified in the table is the amount of gas seal required for an empty tank, and that the tank in question is of the most unsafe type, such as one with a fixed roof. In my storage tanks, there are only 3 tanks with a capacity of 1000 cubic meters and 2 tanks with a capacity of 2000 cubic meters that have fixed roofs; the rest are internal floating roof tanks. Shouldn’t the quantity be smaller? Party A also said they were very generous, but I told them that this is already the maximum usage level:loveliness:. I also couldn’t find any standards regarding the gas seal for internal floating roof tanks – how much gas can an internal floating roof actually save in terms of gas seal usage? What coefficient size is appropriate? Could that expert give some guidance? Confused……
I think the volume of an internal floating roof tank changes with the internal pressure, and since external gases should not be able to enter due to discharge or condensation, is it then unnecessary to install a gas seal?
But the client always wants to buy cheap items. I’m worried that the seal performance of the internal floating roof might not be good, and if a nitrogen seal isn’t used, in case the gas evaporates too much, they’ll blame it on the design – the use of a nitrogen seal is purely for safety purposes, to avoid liability! But it seems that the amount of air seal specified is too large; I’m not sure what amount would be sufficient to achieve the desired result without causing excessive waste. Sigh……
