The tank contains residue oil, and it belongs to an old tank area. During their inspections, employees noticed signs of residue oil leakage on one side of the tank’s foundation; they immediately informed the production department to drain the oil so that the tank could be inspected. It was found that there were numerous areas of pitting and corrosion on the bottom of the tank near the walls. When metal objects were used to tap on those corroded areas, the leakage increased, indicating that the corrosion on the tank bottom was quite severe. What should be done in such a situation?
