Heat exchanger network optimization problem

I want to work on a project for heat exchanger network optimization, but I don’t know where to start. I would like to ask everyone for advice: 1. What kind of information should I gather? 2. Which software is the best to use? 3. Can you recommend some good books? Thank you in advance :)
1. The data you need to collect depends on the optimization method you use; 2. In terms of software, I only use Aspen Pinch 11.1, as it is relatively easy to use. However, this software is based on the pinching analysis method, so it is not suitable if you use other optimization methods; 3. I recommend reading two books: one written by Feng Xiao and translated by Wang Baoguo, Wang Chunyan, and others (the translation quality is average). If you are good at English and can find the original version, authored by R. Smith, then read that instead. Both of these books cover some basic knowledge regarding heat exchanger networks.
I’ve seen people use the heat box in Hysys for the node analysis method of heat exchange networks... There are also discussions on forums; you should give it a look.
What I read was: Principles and Technologies of Energy Saving in the Chemical Industry – Feng Xiao. I personally think this book is excellent; I originally borrowed it from the library, but later I went and copied the entire content myself.
