Various fuels and power energy are measured in terms of 7000 kcal, that is, the conversion coefficient of energy into standard coal = actual calorific value per kilogram of a certain energy / calorific value per kilogram of standard coal (7000 kcal). Calculated based on 0.8MPa (G) saturated steam, the theoretical energy consumption per ton of steam (calculation basis is 0°C water) is 662,766 kcal. Based on this calculation, the standard coal consumption per ton of steam is 94.7 kg of standard coal/ton of steam. If the steam boiler efficiency is 70%, the actual coal consumption is 135kg of standard coal/ton of steam, which means that a ton of standard coal can produce about 7 tons of steam.
