The issue of tray spacing in high-boiling towers

The liquid flow rate in the stripping section is high, making foam entrainment likely.
The gas flow rate in the stripping section is greater than that in the distillation section, and the plate spacing in the stripping section is larger than that in the distillation section to prevent foam entrainment.
This is due to the larger gas-liquid flow rates in the stripping section compared to those in the distillation section
