Standards for classifying construction and earthwork projects 1. Height: refers to the vertical distance from the designed ground level of a building to the top surface of the concrete eaves board or the roof surface (in the case of a parapet wall, it is measured up to the top of the parapet wall). 2. Span: refers to the distance between the axis lines defined in the structural design. 3. Number of floors: Refers to the number of floors designed (including the basement floors). Roof floors with an area that is 30% less than that of a standard floor, as well as technical or auxiliary floors with a ceiling height of 2.2m or less, are not counted as floors. 4. Area: Refers to the building area calculated in accordance with the \"Rules for Calculating the Building Area of Construction Projects in Guangdong Province\". 5. Residential buildings: refer to structures such as homes, dormitories, and mixed-use buildings. 6. Public buildings: refer to buildings such as complex buildings, office buildings, teaching buildings, exhibition halls, museums, hotels, and libraries. 7. Special buildings: refer to structures such as theaters, stadiums, and museums. 8. For a unit project that meets three conditions, if it meets two or more (including two) of those conditions, the standards corresponding to that category shall be applied ; If only one condition is met, the standards of the lower category shall be applied. For a single construction project, there are two conditions; as long as one of them is met, the relevant category standards shall be applied. Priority order for classifying engineering projects: (1) Three conditions ; (2) Two conditions ; (3) One condition. 9. If a single construction project has different floor heights, and the horizontal projected building area of the high-rise portion accounts for 30% or more of the total area of the project, then the project category is determined based on the number of floors in the high-rise portion; otherwise, the project category is determined based on the low-rise portion. 10. For multi-span buildings, the engineering category is determined based on the span of the main span. 11. The building features sound, lighting, ultra-high purity, and constant temperature control. For projects with special requirements, such as those with a building area of 200 m² or more, the higher standard corresponding to their respective category can be applied. 12. In cases other than those mentioned above, the engineering cost management agency at the location of the project shall determine the amount in accordance with the principles outlined above. (II) Classification criteria for earthwork and stonework projects: Category 1 projects involve earthwork or stonework related to Category 1 construction projects, as well as those related to large-scale construction projects. Category 2 projects include: (1) earthwork or stonework related to Category 2 construction projects, and (2) earthwork and stonework for medium-scale construction projects. Category 3 projects involve: (1) earthwork or stonework related to Category 3 construction projects, and (2) earthwork and stonework for small-scale construction projects.
