It seems that the negative deviation of Q345R steel plates is different from that of 16MnR; I’m not sure if this has any impact on design
The problem is that there’s still no progress on the new GB150 standard
Only Q345R can be used in the design; 16MnR is no longer permitted. The design must be carried out based on the negative deviation of Q345R.
Support the claim about the 3rd floor. Current design standards do not allow the use of 16MnR; only Q345R can be used. The design is prepared based on the negative tolerance values for Q345R.
It seems the transition period has passed; there are still some 16MnR products available in the market now
There are two scenarios for the transition period: the deadline for design is the end of 2008, while the deadline for manufacturing is August 31, 2009. In other words, the drawings (related to 16MnR material) prior to the end of 2008 can still be used by the manufacturing units until August 31, 2009.
The device was designed in 2008; drawings have only just been prepared this year, and completion is expected around 2010. It is likely that many changes will still be needed – from 16MnR to Q345R
